On June 7, 2016 my son was admitted to Poudre Valley Hospital emergency room. Jake’s blood was clotting upon admission and the staff knew it. Jake was urinating blood, and had severe thrombocytopenia. Jake was in disseminated intravascular coagulation. Poudre Valley Hospital did nothing to treat his conditions. This was caused by unresolved brain swelling and long term damage my son was given when Good Day pharmacy made his prescription 1000 times too strong! Jake died on June 8, 2016. The staff refused to give my son pain medication or heparin to save his life for over 7 hours in the emergency room as my son cried in pain in front of my eyes. I had to beg the doctors to find a higher quality hospital to transport my son to for over 7 hours, by the time my son was airlifted to Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital my son was too late to save.
